Living by the Moon

Living by the Moon
The lunar cycle — the oldest calendar our grandmothers kept.

Long before there were planners and productivity apps, women kept time by the moon. The new moon was for beginnings — the quiet planting of an intention. The waxing weeks were for building. The full moon was for harvest and for release, and the dark of the moon was for rest, that most disobeyed of feminine disciplines.

To live by the moon is not superstition; it is rhythm. It restores to a woman the sense that her energy is meant to rise and fall, not to run flat and relentless. The matriarch does not fight her own cycles — she governs by them.

Begin simply. At each new moon, write one intention and speak it aloud. At each full moon, name one thing you are ready to set down. Keep the two lists side by side, and by year's end you will hold a private almanac of your own becoming.
